Nestled in the heart of Boston's vibrant South End neighborhood, Three 1 One celebrates the rich history and cultural diversity of its surroundings. Our name symbolizes the trinity of the chef, the ingredients, and the customers — with the number 3 representing creativity, self-expression, and communication, and the number 11 signifying intuition, spiritual awakening, and enlightenment. We strive to bring these elements together to create an exceptional dining experience that celebrates the beauty and complexity of Japanese cuisine.

Our location is particularly special as the South End is known for its diverse community, vibrant arts scene, and charming architecture — making it a perfect setting for our restaurant. We are proud to be part of this community and share our passion for Japanese culinary artistry with our guests. Come join us at Three 1 One and experience the magic of Japanese omakase cuisine in one of Boston's most beautiful and culturally rich neighborhoods.

Chef Wei has an unmatched passion for Japanese cuisine, which began when he entered the culinary field at an acclaimed Japanese restaurant in Boston. After spending seven years honing his craft, he earned his opportunity to work alongside Masa Takayama — the chef and owner of the first 3-star Michelin Japanese and sushi restaurant in US. Under Chef Takayama’s expert guidance and intensive training, Chef Wei mastered the intricacies of Japanese culinary artistry and perfected his skills and techniques. Today, as Executive Chef at Three 1 One, Chef Wei brings his unwavering dedication to delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests, infusing traditional Japanese cuisine with his own creative flair to curate an unparalleled fusion of flavors and textures.

“Eating at Three 1 One is as entertaining and artful as it is delicious.”
